An outdoor wedding downtown, with a ballroom reception that makes you feel as though you're still in nature. Too many luxe details to list, but you have to see their custom escort wall and I wish you could smell the amazing aroma of their wedding scent with a candle at every place setting.
Thirty guests in Guatemala. Only their closest family and friends that are family. I photographed this wedding on my fifth anniversary and the first toast at their reception was to Wil and I. I balled. This celebration is absolutely one of my all time favorites, but you'll have to click through to the blog to see the rooftop party they threw in Chicago the next month too.
My favorite first look of all time. I still can't get over the way he looks at her. And the way they looked together on those stairs. The History Museum is one of my favorite venues to shoot and this couple knocked every detail out of the park.
A Wednesday wedding in Italy with a day trip to capri on Monday, exploring and rehearsal dinner on Tuesday.... I can't imagine any other way I'd rather spend a week! It was so hot you wanted to be in the water or in the shade drinking water, but these two make it look effortless.
Together for twelve years, this duo's day blew me away. It's the most beautiful hotel ceremony I've ever seen and then my jaw hit the floor when I walked in to photograph the ballroom. Greens to the ceiling and absolutely perfect lighting.
There's something so iconic about winter weddings in black and white. With Rachel in Oscar de la Renta and the portraits in Central Park in the snow... I could photograph this day over and over.
This sweet couple lives and works in New York, and so opted to do their engagement session in Central Park. They selected the University Club of Chicago for the wedding and the grandiose ceilings, gorgeous stained glass windows, and architectural detail of Cathedral Hall set the perfect stage for their ceremony and reception.
A wedding in the middle of a five day safari and that RED dress. Make sure you click through to the blog to see the animal photos too!
A wedding at a champagne bar with the reception inside my favorite speakeasy in Chicago...obviously these two are my people. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Bianca's bouquet. Kelly Marie from Fleur absolutely killed it. One of my other favorite details was the invitation suite by Sarah Drake featuring their adorable pup!
Two weddings over two months, one in Paris where the couple resides, one in Chicago where the bride's family currently lives. A handmade gown that the couture seamstress finished in the bride's apartment that morning. Portraits over the Seine. And don't miss the mother of the bride in floor length gold sequins!
This fashion blogger bride flew in Sarah from Saipua in New York for floral and me from Chicago to shoot. The whole day was a dream! An intimate city hall ceremony followed by dinner at a delicious Chinese restaurant.
The rainiest wedding day I've ever seen, but these two didn't let it dampen their spirits one bit. Even though we didn't make it outside for any photos, the bride brought the outdoors in with gorgeous greenery inspired by the Amalfi Coast.
An intimate wedding at one of the most iconic hotels on the Upper East Side. Everyone at one king's table with tall taper candles. Family portraits in Central Park... this day was a dream.
